It took me a few tries to get going with this book, but once I did, I read it pretty much straight through. This is the story of a lost/stolen/forged medieval demonology text and a request to authenticate a few pages in Alexandre Dumas' handwriting accompanied by generous helpings of murder, mystery, strange women, and gin.
