The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls

As soon as I finished reading this book, I phoned my sister and told her “so you think we had it bad”? This is a memoir of the struggling life of Jeanette Walls’ parents and their 4 children due to many factors including alcoholism, disinterest, depression and profound dysfunction Both parents were multi-faceted, interesting and surprisingly pretty likeable. Anyone who suffered through childhood with parents possessing limited parenting skills will relate to this book.
