Giffin's novel is a light read that does not follow the usually formula for the genre. The book is split into two narrators: Marian, a high power television producer in New York, and Kirby, the daughter she never knew from St. Louis. The characters must learn how to come to terms with their new relationship and all the complications secrets bring.
