Four-Season Harvest by Eliot Coleman
This book presents some technologies (cold frames, greenhouses) that are useful for a never-ending growing season in colder climates, but the general philosophy of growing and eating foods in the season they have evolved to grow in is applicable to gardeners in almost any climate. This is an easy to read book that doesn't bog the reader down with too much technical language or concepts. A great read for SoCal gardeners who live in the perfect environment for year-round vegetable gardening.
