Ice Hockey and Hijab by Sheema Khan

Sheema Khan is a modern-day, liberal woman(and hockey mom), a Harvard PhD, and a practicing Muslim who has chosen to wear a hijab. Although Khan is Canadian, her essays covering topics from terrorism and fanaticism to Islamic law and women's rights easily apply to current issues in the U.S. Khan tackles complicated topics with a humanistic focus on a deeper and wider education between cultures and an encouragment for the tolerance of differences.
