The Round House by Louise Erdrich
Joe and his family live on a reservation in South Dakota. When his mother is attacked and the law fails to punish the guilty person, Joe decides that he must take matters into his own hands and suffer the consequences. This is an interesting look into the fine lines that separate tribal law from federal law and the frustration felt by those living on reservations.
