Flatland is more than just a science fiction novel that takes place in the mythical land of two dimensions. It is also a reflection of class during the Victorian Era, where women are only lines with no hope of attaining anything more. The narrator, A. Square, takes the reader to Lineland, Pointland, and Spaceland, which causes him to dream of a place with four dimensions, a heresy that gets him exiled.
