Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple
This book started off as a comically entertaining read about an eccentric family that includes a super-genius daughter, a mother who was once a famed architect but is now a recluse in Seattle and a father who works for Microsoft and has the fourth most watched TED talk. Then, the second half got a bit too serious and dark that the tone of the book seemed to shift quite dramatically. Overall, it was an interesting read with a unique subject-matter.
